How USD to EUR costs change from $1,000 to $100,000
A cheap provider at $1,000 is not automatically the cheapest at $100,000. We held the USD-to-EUR reference rate constant and compared six distinct pricing structures at three amounts.

Three pricing patterns stand out
Minimum fees shrink with size. The modelled Interactive Brokers commission stayed at $2, falling from 0.20% of $1,000 to less than 0.01% of $100,000.
Percentage pricing stays predictable. Airwallex and OFX remained at 0.50% and 0.75% in the stored models, so their dollar cost rose in direct proportion to the amount.
Allowances can reverse the order. Revolut Standard led at $1,000 in the US fallback model but became more expensive once most of the transfer sat above its stored allowance.

What the comparison does not say
The six rows are deliberately different products. Interactive Brokers is a brokerage and fits only when the currency trade supports genuine investing, trading or hedging. Airwallex is a business account. The typical-bank row is an illustrative cost benchmark rather than a quote from a named bank.
Revolut uses the stored US Standard-plan fallback, excludes weekend pricing and does not deduct a subscription. Wise uses an available API estimate; the other rows are stored models.
