Visible fee
The separate charge shown by the provider, entered in the source currency.
Paste the numbers from any foreign-exchange quote. We compare the offered outcome with a current mid-market reference and separate the visible fee, quoted-rate difference, other recipient gaps and estimated total cost.

Wise API mid-market rate · checked 00:55 UTC
Add the provider's rate or the final recipient amount to reveal the visible fee, rate difference, and estimated total cost separately.
Wise's API mid-market rate is attempted first; the fallback reference may be cached for up to one hour. Neither is an executable market price. This checker assumes the visible fee is denominated in USD. It does not automatically include card-funding charges, correspondent-bank deductions, taxes, or fees that are absent from the quote.
A low advertised fee can hide an expensive exchange rate. The checker keeps each part separate before adding them into one comparable all-in figure.
The separate charge shown by the provider, entered in the source currency.
The source-currency effect of the quoted rate, or the implied outcome rate when no rate is shown.
When rate and recipient amount disagree, the unexplained difference is kept separate instead of being called markup.
The visible fee, rate difference and any other recipient gap, shown in source currency and as a percentage.
If the fee is deducted, the amount converted is the send amount minus the fee. If it is added on top, the full send amount is converted and the fee increases your total outlay.
When only a recipient amount is available, the implied outcome rate is recipient amount divided by the amount converted. That difference can include markup or an unitemized charge, so it is not labelled as proven FX markup.
If you enter both a rate and recipient amount, the quoted rate is compared with the reference first. Any remaining mismatch in the recipient outcome is shown separately instead of being assigned to the rate.
Quoted-rate difference % = 1 − quoted rate ÷ reference rate
Other recipient gap = expected recipient at quoted rate − entered recipient amount
Total cost = visible fee + rate difference + other recipient gap

Enter the send amount, visible fee and recipient amount. The checker divides the recipient amount by the amount actually converted to calculate the implied exchange rate.
No. A provider can charge nothing separately and still use an exchange rate below the mid-market reference. The difference in the rate is an FX markup and can be larger than a visible fee.
Reference rates are indicative and may be cached, while executable prices move. Promotions, rounding, a reversed rate direction, an omitted charge or an incorrectly entered fee can also produce an apparent advantage. Confirm the final amount before paying.
