Is Paysera a good choice?
Most compelling for euro payments and customers who want an account plus transfer tools; check non-euro and card availability carefully by country.
Best for
- Frequent euro bank transfers (SEPA)
- People who need to hold and exchange several currencies
- European online businesses that also need payment collection
Paysera pricing at a glance
Paysera publishes detailed fee tables by customer country, currency and transfer destination. Account and many euro-payment services can be free or low cost, while non-euro, international and urgent payments have separate charges.
This is a USD-to-EUR currency-conversion example. Your exact price may differ by country and by how you pay and receive the money.
About Paysera
Paysera started in 2004 and Paysera LT became Lithuania's first licensed electronic-money institution in 2012. The group operates through companies and partners across several regions.
Paysera reports more than 400,000 clients and over 700 employees in more than 30 countries. In 2024 it processed 10.6 million transfers worth €12.1 billion.
How Paysera pricing works
Currency exchange uses the Paysera rate shown at the time of conversion. Transfer charges and deductions by other banks involved in the payment are separate, so the amount delivered can depend on the countries and fee option.
Free allowances and charges differ for individuals and businesses and can change with the account country. Use the fee table linked from the registered account rather than a single global percentage.
What else you get
Strong euro-payment tools
The account supports standard and instant euro bank transfers (SEPA) where available, alongside balances in several currencies.
Personal and merchant services
Customers can combine transfers with an app, eligible Visa card and business checkout or ticketing products.
Strengths and trade-offs
Reasons to choose Paysera
- Detailed public fee tables
- Useful for frequent euro transfers
- Account, card and merchant-payment services in one group
Reasons to compare alternatives
- Paysera LT is an electronic-money institution rather than a bank
- Card ordering is limited mainly to residents of the European Economic Area
- Non-euro pricing and bank deductions can be difficult to compare at a glance
- Products and legal providers vary considerably by country
Support and account checks
Paysera provides app, online and local-country support through its group network; language and opening hours differ by market.
Customers complete an identity check and account questionnaire, with company and ownership documents required for business use.
Paysera may ask about activity, payment purpose or where money came from and may hold a payment while required documents are reviewed.
When to look elsewhere
Choose N26 when a full German-licensed euro bank is the priority, Wise or Revolut for a simpler consumer multi-currency experience, or Airwallex for a business platform with wider cards and expense controls.
Large investment-related exchange?
For a large currency conversion that is part of genuine investing or trading in the account, compare Interactive Brokers first: its pricing can be difficult to beat. IBKR is a brokerage, not a stand-alone transfer service; use a transfer specialist for cash pickup or a direct payment to someone else.
What to know before you use Paysera
Safeguarded electronic money is not the same product as a bank deposit, so read the protection terms for the Paysera company serving your country.
The Bank of Lithuania's current register records enforcement measures against Paysera LT, including reporting and compliance-related fines in 2025 and 2026; the register also shows its licence remains valid.
Confirm card eligibility before opening the account if the card is an important reason for choosing Paysera.
