Aspora is an app for Indians living abroad who send money home, with a sharp focus on transfers to India and a wider ambition to build banking products for the global Indian community.

Is Aspora a good choice?
Aspora is a strong option to quote when you regularly send money to India from a supported country. Its narrow focus makes the product easy to understand, but you should compare the final rupees delivered rather than relying on a headline rate or reward.
Best for
- Indians abroad who send money to an Indian bank account regularly
- Comparing a specialist India transfer app with Wise, Remitly or Instarem
- People who value India-specific support and future NRI banking features
Check your exact price with Aspora
Aspora shows the exchange rate and amount arriving in India before confirmation. The final advantage can change with the sending country, amount and any time-limited offer. We do not place one general estimate in the comparison table because the price changes with the countries, currencies and way the money moves.

Aspora began in 2022 and was previously known as Vance. Founder Parth Garg built the service around the financial needs of Indians living abroad. The company is based in London, with offices in Dubai and Bengaluru.
In its funding announcement, Aspora said more than 250,000 non-resident Indians had used the service and that it had processed more than $2 billion. Its current homepage now presents a larger user figure, a sign of fast growth, but these are company-reported numbers rather than independently audited statistics.
The product is deliberately narrower than Wise or Revolut. Sending money to India is the main job today, while Indian bank accounts, bill payments, investing and other services sit on Aspora's longer product roadmap.
How Aspora pricing works
Aspora markets transfers at a live Google rate and says users do not lose money to hidden fees. The useful comparison is still the complete result: enter the same amount in Aspora and another provider at nearly the same time, then compare the rupees reaching the recipient after every charge.
A promotional rate, reward or first-transfer offer should be recorded separately from the repeat-customer price. A provider can win the first transfer and lose the next one, so regular senders should save two quotes before choosing a default app.
Aspora's legal terms allow it to retain a margin in the exchange rate. That does not make the price poor, but it means a Google-rate marketing claim should be checked against the amount delivered on the final review screen.
What else you get
Built around India
The app, support and future products are designed for the practical needs of Indians living outside the country.
Simple bank transfer
The core product is focused on moving money into an Indian bank account without the extra choices found in a broad financial app.
Growing NRI product set
Aspora is adding Indian banking and financial features, which may make it more useful than a one-purpose transfer app over time.
Strengths and trade-offs
Reasons to choose Aspora
- A focused proposition for a large and specific group of users
- The final rate and recipient amount are shown before payment
- Regulated entities or partners are disclosed for its main sending markets
Reasons to compare alternatives
- Much less useful when the recipient is outside India
- Pricing and offers can differ by sending country and account
- The wider banking product is still developing and not every announced feature is available
Support and account checks
Aspora advertises round-the-clock support. Response quality can depend on the market and the type of account issue, so a small first transfer is sensible before relying on it for an urgent large payment.
Identity checks are required. A large or unusual transfer can lead to a request for bank statements, income evidence or an explanation of where the money came from. Prepare readable documents before starting a time-sensitive payment.
When to look elsewhere
Compare Wise for broad country coverage and transparent fees, Remitly when delivery choice or a first-transfer offer matters, and Instarem for another Asia-focused option. For investment-related large conversions, Interactive Brokers can be exceptionally cheap when the account is genuinely used for investing or trading.
Large investment-related exchange?
For a large currency conversion that is part of genuine investing or trading in the account, compare Interactive Brokers first: its pricing can be difficult to beat. IBKR is a brokerage, not a stand-alone transfer service; use a transfer specialist for cash pickup or a direct payment to someone else.
What to know before you use Aspora
Availability is tied to where the sender lives and the local Aspora entity or partner. Check the current country list in the app before planning a transfer.
Treat rewards and welcome rates as temporary. Compare the normal repeat price if you expect to send every month.
This page does not place Aspora in the general calculator because a single fee and rate would not represent every sending country or current offer.
